The
Surepath Process
The Surepath process is a seven-step
Implementation Methodology that takes a customer project through the complete project
lifecycle. The main purposes of the process are:
- to form the framework for the project
- to clearly define the project phases
- to define the criteria that need to be
met and agreed at each phase of the project
- to implement a totally customer
satisfactory solution
The Surepath process facilitates
customer and supplier communications, and forms the basis for a total
quality management plan for the project and most importantly, serves as
the reference model from which the customer can establish where the
project is at any point in time.
The seven steps that are described in the
process, map on to the following key functions:
- Pre-sales activities –definition of
business benefits required
- Investigation and analysis of legacy
systems
- Detailed Design, definition and scoping
of the solution
- Implementation configuration and
customisation
- Installation and integration
- Training and transition management
- Sustaining and verification of system
implementation
Formal methods are used at
various stages of the project, in order to facilitate and gauge each
activity. These methods are, wherever possible, non-technical in a
customer related procedures which are used to enhance the communication
between parties simply and easily and reduce the problems of
misinterpretation. The philosophy that is used is one of "Kokyaku
Syudo" – customer driven, and techniques such as "mindmaps"
are employed, to gather and collate requirements and data in a customer
friendly fashion.
The data once collected is then analysed
with the customer and then passed on through the Surepath process.
Years of experience of implementing
business solutions combined with the practical customer orientated
approach and our Surepath process, are the best guarantee that a
business product delivered by Metaphorix, will deliver the true business benefit an organisation requires.
